Commenting on Our Website

I know that most of you will have no problem in navigating this site, or in leaving comments, but this post is for those who may have some difficulty in doing so.

At the bottom of each post, you will see the "footer" area -- this is where it says:
posted by X at 12/31/2007 11:59:00 PM | 0 blogger comments | haloscan: Comments (0) | links to this post | (email this post icon)
This is what you will see, except that the (email this post icon) will actually appear as a small envelope in the real footer.

Note that you can comment on the post using either of those two links just by clicking them --
1) via Blogger by clicking where it says "X blogger comments" (and X = the # of comments left on the post so far) or;
2) via Haloscan by clicking where it says "haloscan: Comments (X)"

You should be able to comment anonymously on either. Or, you can choose register with Blogger or with Haloscan so that your comment will be associated with an account, and will appear with a link to your homepage, etc.

You can also use either the title of the post or the time/date-stamp as the URL to the item page itself. The item page will have a slightly different footer, and only includes the "Post a Comment" via Blogger option. So, if you want to post via Haloscan, you need to access the index page where the post is found.

We reserve the right to delete any and all comments at our own discretion: this is our sandbox, and we don't have to tolerate unwelcome guests. Our policy is to not censor or delete comments, no matter how strongly we disagree with them, unless they seem blatantly offensive, and/or intended only to inflame and start an angry exchange, rather than express an opinion. Therefore, so long as you present an idea or point politely, no matter how much we may disagree with it, we will allow it to be posted on our site, and one of us (or more) may even respond to it in the attempt to dialog. Using graphic imagery and threats of violence, including that of hellfire, will not be tolerated. You may say, "I think unbelievers go to hell," or something of that sort, but you will not tell people, "you will burn in hellfire," or anything personal and violent of that sort.

If you want to comment, you play by our rules. We don't intend for our website to devolve into a new battleground for flame warriors.

If you have any problems commenting, or questions, email us.

  2. It's surprising sometimes how many have some trouble figuring out how to comment. I mean, come on, you don't have to be from a top website design company to find the comment box or the link to it.

  4. It doesn't hurt to ask a web designer to fix your site. There are also many guidelines that will help you fix your problem.

I didn't have any trouble commenting. Do you think it has something to do with how the web design surrey was made?

  9. When I was living in Calgary, a friend of mine taught me a lot of techniques on web design. And for me the most important aspect in web designing is user experience. A good and functional website is one way to make the audience come back to your site on a constant basis.

  10. There's such thing as Netiquette but most people ignore this. Its nice to see that you dedicated a page just for the guidelines so the user will know and be reminded what is right and wrong in commenting. Just an advice, always think before you click.

  12. Many internet users are lazy readers. They like it if they are able to see immediately what they are looking for in a web page. A website should have tools that can aid in the customers search, or shortcuts to where they want to go. Read More for more info.

  13. What's amazing about the technology today is that, a person could now contact the immediate person they want to speak with whenever they've got a concern. Just like the comment box, today, it's very visible that internet proposes interactivity compared to before, which poses a positive effect to the society including the businesses or for just personal purposes.

  16. If I'm not mistaken, I think most of the companies are switching and trying out this kind of methodology to hear the public's concern and opinion towards the overall performance of the company. Also, by using this kind of process people behind the company could come up better marketing solution in the near future.
