I spoke with someone at CFI yesterday (she actually called me), and she assured me that travel grants (paid flights) to the 2006 Summer Leadership Conference were guaranteed for a few of our members. It's July 14-16, so you'd only miss that Friday's course and the weekend's work. Plus, it would be possible to get a later flight if you needed to come after school on Friday.

Gator Freethought is a registered student organization at UF that provides freethinkers of any religious background the opportunity to discuss religion and nonreligion alike.
My wife and I are almost certainly going to go. I will write with more details tomorrow. So far I have you and two other members expressing interest. I will make a new post tomorrow after I talk to the person with the travel grant application.
